The Blue Economy Student Forum is a student-led, interdisciplinary event designed to convene youth perspectives on ocean governance, innovation, and sustainable finance at a pivotal moment for global ocean action. Hosted at UCL—ranked 1st globally in Knowledge Exchange (QS Sustainability Rankings 2026)—the forum aims to strengthen ocean literacy, empower youth agency, and build pathways for students to engage meaningfully in the blue economy.
The forum is organised by students of the UCL Institute for Global Prosperity in collaboration with Fast Forward 2030.
What to Expect
The forum will feature keynote insights from senior UK government leaders working at the forefront of marine policy and international ocean partnerships; panel discussions, and interactive exchanges with leaders working across ocean policy, conservation, innovation, and storytelling.
